The Points of Light is awarded by her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth and was awarded to Kayumba Chiwele in recognition of her exceptional work helping survivors of Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV). The award was presented by the British High Commissioner Nicholas Woolley at our offices on October 8th 2019.

Our Tilitonse program provides free psychological services to female survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV). The program has so far helped 1500 vulnerable women and girls and trained 40 community members in psychological first aid. We hope to treat 5000 women and train 500 community members in psychological first aid by 2021 with the hopes of replicating the program to other communities as we have only been able to offer our services to the women of Msisi compound.
