Remmy Shawa has a Masters degree in Public Health, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology, two Diplomas in Human Resource Management and Project Management. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Public Health.  Remmy’s interests are trauma and grief counseling including counseling of survivors of gender based violence and abuse. He also works with couples dealing with marital or relationship problems especially young couples with problems ranging from finance, sex,  and communication.

Registered with the Zambia Counselling Council, Remmy has served with the Zambia Police Victim Support Unit providing trauma counseling to survivors of domestic violence in Lusaka’s Kalingalinga community. His Master’s thesis was on exploring experiences of HIV counselors in Zambia’s urban clinics in Lusaka.
